Lucente Project
Lucente Project is planned to be a free multimedia project which rewrites the story of Sonic '06 into a "series" format with approximately 40 "episodes". Each "episode" will be written and/or illustrated by a different contributor, with a story director to oversee the "series" to spot major continuity mistakes.For this project the CQC team would like to focus on telling a story which gives each character a chance to properly shine, with particular focus on Elise and Blaze. The team would like to craft a story which is not only fun to read but also fun for every contributor to work on.

I love the franchise with my everything (yes, including you '06 /silly).Sonic and Shadow take up my brain, but Amy definitely lives in my heart. She's so awesome!! I wish I had her for a friend... Alas, this zine is the best I can do. I'm so glad to be partaking in it!

Early Development Mods
As Lucente Project is planned to be a experimental cohesive story, the zine needs early development mods to help decide the story and character designs before contributors can work on the project. Early Development will decide crutial things such as how many episodes long the project will be, the basic story beats, and divergent details from the original story.Each early development mod has diffrent tasks to complete, and can work with cqc mods or assistants.Early Development is expected to start Febuary and run for several months depending on pace
Timeline is flexible depending on mod commitments
Story Director
Being a story director is about writing what is best for the project and working with a community to piece together a story. You will be overlooking the "series" as a whole so that it flows well, not overlooking "episodes". Think "does this work for the series" not "do I like this personally"
Outline the series plotline
Write/refine the "lore bible" with mods
Answer questions about the overall story/lore/worldbuilding
Check contributors episodes for major story continuity mistakes
Update "lore bible" and contributors if it needs to be updated
Story Directors are not tasked with beta reading or managing the technical aspect of helping writers with their work. This is for the Writing mod to handle.
Art Director
Redesign characters and create referance sheets
Help to create concept art of locations and major objects
Answer questions about character/location/object design
Check contributors episodes for major design continuity mistakes
Help to create extra concept art throughout the project when needed
Art Directors are not tasked with managing the technical aspect of helping artists with their work. This is for the Art mod to handle.
Cultral Consultant
Help mods and contribs with researching Italian language, culture, fashion, architecture, or history.
Create documents or edit server documents for authenticity to Italian culture
Help the zine have a distinct Italian inspiration
Advisors are not expected to be representative of all of Italian culture. The zine is rather looking for someone who can give a genuine perspective of italian culture for a better representation in the story where we can.

What is a Zine?
A zine is, in fandom spaces, a collaborative effort of creatives to make a sort of art collection/book! The word “zine” comes from “magazine”. Everyone working on this project gets to make something for one (or more) of the pages of this zine!Every step will be explained within the project and you can always talk to a mod if you are unsure what you have to do or if you are doing things right. It’s always best to speak up if you don’t understand, because this makes things a lot less stressful for everyone involved!
What type of content is allowed?
Though it might vary with the themes between projects, CQC Zines won’t delve into darker topics or contain any more mature themes than a typical Sonic game/story. Nor allow ships between family members or minors/adults.OCs, AU content and Ships will vary depending on the project. For Zines focusing on a specific canon Sonic character CQC typically does not allow for OCs or Ships unless stated otherwise. AU content may be allowed in moderation or even be encouraged if it fits with the themes of the project.
Make sure to always read the rules for each project before applying to know more what is/isn't allowed!OCs are of course allowed when that is the topic of the project like Gotta follow my rainbow or Our World Adventure for example.
We welcome all types of OCs for those projects: there are no cringe characters. We’d love to see your angel/demon hybrid, the sonadow fankid of the week or Silvers long lost brother! The only limitation to OC's is that they need to be made for the greater sonic universe.
OCxCANON ships are ok, as long as Sonic isn't involved (to avoid conflict).Unless the projects is specifically about romance/a certain ship then the focus should be away from just romance if ship art is allowed. There are a lot of fun aspects to delve into sonic characters relationship! (Family, friendships, enemies, rivalry, work-related, etc.)

Anything as long as we can distribute it digitally somehow!
